Description
The beach of Tangalle can be seen from the four temples built on the upper terrace of the Mulgirigala rock temple, clinging to the hillside planted with palm trees. It is reached up a steep path of some 500 steps. Superb murals, said to date back to the 3C BCE, adorn the site, occupied until the 12C.
