Description
St Pancras was the first bishop of Taormina, and his fellow citizens built this church in honour of their pastor in the 17C, over the ruins of a temple dedicated to Isis and Serapis. Note the graceful doorway built of Taormina stone and flanked by recesses containing statues of saints.
