Useful information

Description

The Ute Mountain Tribal Park contains a cluster of excavated cliff dwellings, many unexcavated sites, petroglyphs and thousands of pottery shards. Occupying some 200sq mi, it's one of the most evocative ancient sites in North America, but requires a difficult drive of 82mi on unpaved backroads and miles of hiking and climbing.
