Ustica Prehistoric Village
Michelin Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Beside the reefs, this large site goes back to the Bronze Age. A "main street" by which the homes can be reached is evidence of the existence of a town plan and therefore of public places, which was highly unusual for the time. The village was protected by a sturdy, fortified surrounding wall in the shape of an ellipse, some of which remains.
