The remains of a Benedictine abbey, this interesting Romanesque edifice was built in several stages: the chancel and north transept are 11C and the pointed barrel-vaulted nave is 12C, extended in the 13C. Fortified during the Hundred Years War, repaired in the 17C, the church of St. Pierre was restored in the early 20C. Since then, all that remains of the town's defence systems is the massive round tower built out of rubblestone with arrow slits.
