Description

Built at the same time as Chambord, the Renaissance chateau of Valençay stands proudly in a beautifully landscaped park. The Prince of Talleyrand exercised his mastery of diplomacy during lavish receptions thrown here. Note the premises of the Classical style and the sumptuous Empire furniture and numerous objets d'art. The French formal gardens, the Napoleon Labyrinth and a theatre complete the picture.
