This museum was the brainchild of a former Resistance fighter. It charts the background of the Vercors massif (from the late 19C); then shows how its role evolved, its battles and its tragic end; finally, it looks at what was lost, reconstruction and the constitution of memory provide an important additional facet to the memorial.
