Description

Campo San Zaccaria is an elegant square dominated by the façade of the church of the same name, a masterpiece of Venetian Renaissance. The square has retained the archways of a 15C cloister, built on the site of the former convent cemetery. With its stone paving and small well, this quiet campo is reminiscent of a village square, yet it is just a stone's throw from busy Piazza San Marco.
