Useful information

Description

This mansion with an arcaded courtyard was built in the 16C on the site of the residence of a former prince (or top dignitary, who in hierarchy was just after the bishop). Its rooms are devoted to prehistory, the Gallo-Roman and Merovingian era, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance - don't miss the religious statues. The museum also charts the history of Verdun through old Argonne earthenware, a small weapons' collection (16C-20C) and paintings by Meuse artists.
