Description

A wrought-iron gate, from the château de Bizy, leads into the courtyard of Vernon Museum established in a series of buildings from different eras (15C-18C). The collections cover painting, drawing and animal sculpture with works by Nabis artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Rosa Bonheur and Maurice Denis. Other highlights are two works by Claude Monet Falaises à Pourville and Nénuphar. The cartoons depicting French society are quite fascinating.
