Description

This old quarter of the Macedonian city of Veria has some 50 churches, built between the 12C and 15C. Agios Sotiros Christos, Church of the Resurrection, is decorated with frescoes by Giorgos Kaliergis (early 14C); Agii Kirykos kai Ioulitta, within a larger building, has a partitioned masonry decor; Agios Vlasios has frescoes dating from the 14C.
