Description
This harmonious small pagoda stands close to the banks of the Mekong. Its roof, made up of several sections, is embellished with elegant pyramidal ornamentation comprising 15 parasols. Supported by massive columns with lotus flower capitals, the front gable features a standing Buddha surrounded by vegetal scroll decoration. The four panels below illustrate key moments in his life: birth, meditation, teaching and nirvana (parinirvana).
