Museo de Antropología Carlos Pellicer (CICOM)
Michelin Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
CICOM houses a rich collection of relics left by Meso-American civilisations. The masks (notably from Teotihuacán), sculptures, steles and other choice objects (including the famous Pellicer vase) tell us about the Olmecs and Mayans, as well as the Toltecs and Zapotecs. This cube-shaped museum, the brainchild of the poet Carlos Pellicer, is presently undergoing a long-overdue restoration which is taking a while to complete. As a result, some of the rooms may be closed during your visit.
