The disused pit offers a real insight into the Anzin Mining Company. The architectural harmony of this group of superb industrial buildings is remarkable. Three headframes loom over the site. The colossal extraction machinery, now fallen silent, and the collective amenities are impressive to behold. The site is also being given a great second wind through its new vocation which focuses on audio-visual activities and digital media.
