Useful information

Description

A visit to the ZIH is an excellent introduction to the tragic history of Warsaw's Jewish community. Established after the Second World War, it has two permanent exhibitions: one on Jewish art, the other on the Warsaw Ghetto. The Institute also houses a research centre (6 500 pieces from the Ringelblum Archives listed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register) and a substantial library on the history of Polish Jews since the 17C.
