Description

Built around 1815, this residence was for a time home to the mother of Robert E. Lee, the general who commanded the Confederate Army. In the 1830s, it was occupied by the Baron of Bodisco, representative of Russia in the country, who caused a scandal when he married a girl 46 years his junior.
