Description
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a staggering lesson on the journey and emancipation of Afro-Americans. Situated amid Washington's memorials, the six-storey museum, boasting 37 000 artefacts, is divided into two parts. The first shows slavery and segregation with a spectacular scenography. The second shines a light on culture and society, from Ella Fitzgerald to Prince. The emotion is palpable throughout the visit.
