At this sublime gorge, doubtless the finest in the area, you can swim in complete peace between the lofty rock faces. It turns out to be the ideal place for chilling out after a walk. It is well worth getting to higher ground in order to see the whole gorge; the easiest way to do so is to follow the Ghost Gum Lookout trail, from where there is a superb viewpoint over the desert, with the orange-tinged summits of the West MacDonnell Ranges in the background.
