Useful information

Description

With over one million engravings and 60 000 drawings and watercolours, the Albertina Graphic Arts Collection features most of the greatest names in European art, from the Renaissance to the 20C. It is named after its founder, Duke Albert of Saxony-Teschen. It is home to the exceptional Dürer Collection, assembled by Emperor Rudolf II in the late 16C, and pieces from the collection of the Batliner couple. All these treasures are showcased in the Albertina Palace, flanked since 2003 by a metallic structure (Hans Hollein).
