Useful information

Description

The European and American paintings, sculptures, drawings and decorative arts of the illustrious Clark Art Institute were collected by Robert Sterling Clark and his wife, Francine, during the years between World War I and 1956. The rich collection, which reflects the Clarks' taste for 19C paintings, is housed in a central white marble building (1956) with an extension designed by Tadao Ando in 2014, plus a granite annexe which is home to the museum's auditorium.
