Useful information

Description

This fort was built in 1750 as a British stronghold in Acadian territory. It later became a point of departure for Acadians assembled for deportation. The dark wooden clapboard blockhouse is all that remains of the old fort. Inside, there are displays on the blockhouse defence system and the fort's history.
