With a surface area of 42km2, this park "where the moon rises" is Korea's smallest national park. Covered with unusual reliefs, of which Cheonwangbong Peak is the highest point (809m), it offers a variety of excursions that are full of surprises and prove ideal for a day's walking. In addition to a fine, 8m-high statue of Buddha hewn out of the rock, walkers are treated to a lovely panoramic view from the steel bridge suspended 50m above the ground.
