Description
Part of the National Museum of Science and Industry, this museum presents in an exemplary way the history of the railway in Great Britain since its invention. The Great Hall houses numerous locomotives, from the most basic to the most impressive; the South Yard recreates the atmosphere of a large train station of the 1950s. Meanwhile, the museum explores issues relating to the history and technology of trains.
