The Michelin Guide's review
East of Malta Square, overlooking another small square, there stands the oldest church in Prague. This large Romanesque basilica was built by the Knights of Malta, rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 14C, then reworked in the Baroque style in the mid-18C. A painting by Skréta on the high altar celebrates the knights' role in defeating the Turks at the naval battle of Lepanto in 1571.
