John Verdier House, a neo-Classical building dating from 1804, is typical of the "Beaufort style" with its raised ground floor, double veranda, T-shaped floor plan, and flat roof designed to take full advantage of prevailing river breezes. Unfortunately, the house is no longer furnished.
