Description

Completed in 1974, this three-building complex is a wonderful example of the international style for which architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe became so famous. It may be unadorned, but its beauty derives from its perfect proportions. In a pared-down style, the buildings form the ideal backdrop for Alexander Calder's vivid, flamboyant sculpture, Flamingo (1973).
