Description
The Loop has been a hotbed of architectural innovation since the 1871 fire. Named after the loop formed by the overground tracks that girdle them, these blocks bustle with the coming and going of Chicagoans between an array of office towers. The crossroads of State Street and Madison Street make up the centre of the Loop... and of Chicago, even if the city's heart now beats closer to River North.
