The American Collection (late 18C-mid-20C) has works by Frederic Remington and post-Depression Figurative painter Moses Soyer. The Samuel Kress Collection highlights 13-18C European paintings and sculpture, including pieces by Canaletto and Van Dyck. The Spanish Viceroyal Collection features 17-19C artists and includes Mexican folk retablos. The Contemporary Collection emphasizes pieces created in the American Southwest and Mexico since 1945.
