Description

The ground of the Place des Écritures, set in a 13C architectural complex, is covered with a huge replica of the Rosetta Stone. Artist Joseph Kosuth sculpted this huge slab of Zimbabwe black granite in honour of Jean-François Champollion, who cracked the mystery of hieroglyphics.
