The National Museum presents the history of Thailand from prehistory to the present day through a collection of artefacts discovered during excavations around Kamphaeng Phet. Exhibits include Buddhas (such as a remarkable bronze Buddha in Sukhothai style dating from the 15C-16C), Hindu statues (note Vishnu and Shiva) and ceramics from Sangkhalok (Si Satchanalai).
