Useful information

Description

Capital of the Roman province of Lower Germany, Cologne was a very prosperous place between the 1 and 4C. Here, reminders of that period include the Mosaics of Dionysos and the Philosophers. But the museum is famous for its Mausoleum of Lucius Publicius. The collection of glasswork contains many unique pieces, including the diatrete cup (4C), and bottles with serpentine designs (2C).
