The tomb of Francisco Pizarro, famous Spanish conquistador, lies behind the handsome Baroque façade of Lima's cathedral (16-17C). During your visit, pause to admire the elegantly carved chancel, entirely covered in gold leaf. In the Museum of Religious Art, be sure to see the series of portraits of the archbishops of Lima.
