Useful information

Description

The building, which houses the Royal College of Art, was designed in 1961 and contains studios and workshops. The façade is of brown brick, concrete and glass. The College has nurtured many eminent artists in various fields. The small building alongside, the former home of the Royal College of Organists, is in sharp contrast. Built in 1875, it is almost obscured by its chocolate brown panels patterned in cream. It has a frieze of musical instruments and garlands around the door.
