Description

At the northern end of Chandos Street stands the superbly proportioned façade of Chandos House (1771). The work of Scots architect Robert Adam, the house was built entirely of immaculate Portland stone, its only decorations being a narrow frieze atop the second floor, a square porch and wrought-iron railings.
