Description
The Visitor Centre of Slieve Gullion Forest Park, which contains an exhibition on forestry, is housed in an old farmhouse. Nearby is a lovely walled garden. A scenic drive winds through forest and stony ground, leading to the nearby Slieve Gullion. The mountain is surrounded by a ring of hills of volcanic origin, the Ring of Gullion. From the summit (573m), where Neolithic men built two cairns, the view is matchless.
