Useful information

Description

Wollaton House, home to a natural history museum, is an exuberant display of Elizabethan grandeur, built by Robert Smythson, and was the architect's most important commission after Longleat. Like Longleat, the hall is outward looking and the inner courtyard was replaced by a central hall higher than the roof, lit by a clerestory.
