Useful information

Description

The church was built in 1178 under the reign of Roger II, but it was on 31 March 1282 that it truly entered the history books: the revolt that marked the start of the War of the Vespers broke out, leading to the end of French rule in Sicily. The façade with protrusions is incomplete, but you will observe the typical Arab-Norman two-tone intersecting arches on the sides and in the apses. The interior is simple and bare.
