Useful information

Description

One of the top venues devoted to Asian art in France and Europe, the museum is home to 900 works that chart the major periods of Chinese civilisation from Neolithic times to the 13C. The 4.40m-high Japanese Buddha, bought by Henri Cernuschi in 1871 from a small temple in Tokyo's Meguro district and for which the mansion was built, is without doubt the museum's most outstanding exhibit.
