Useful information

Description

The rich collection of the Glass Museum comprises around 20 000 pieces of glass brought together by collector Georg Höltl. Covering 250 years of history from the 18C onwards, the collection bears witness to the period when Bohemia, Silesia and Bavaria replaced Venice as the most important centre for glass production. The display of 19C and early 20C Bohemian glass is of exceptional diversity and superb quality. Note the cup from Lobmeyr, produced between 1878 and 1881.
