Mud is one of the principal characteristics of Vulcano and an essential part of the experience of a stay on the island. A natural pool sheltered by a rock whose colours range from yellow to red collects the sulphurous mud that is known for its therapeutic properties. Try and get there as early as possible because the pool is often packed and make sure you follow the instructions to the letter to avoid any risk of burns.
