Useful information

Description

The neighbourhood is a slice of Japan in the heart of downtown San Francisco. The buildings on Sutter Street and Post Street feature many Japanese-style details. Life in Japantown revolves around the Japan Center, which is home to teashops, print and kimono shops, a bookshop, supermarkets and numerous restaurants. At the heart of this huge shopping mall is the Peace Pagoda, donated by Osaka in 1968. Don't miss the Cherry Blossom Festival in April.
