Useful information

Description

A subject of inspiration to painters, this is one of the few bridges in the city to have preserved its original look. Built between 1785 and 1787, when the Fontanka was still navigable, Lomonosov Bridge had mechanisms hidden inside its four little stone towers to raise and lower the deck. It affords a pretty view of the river with the blue domes of Trinity Cathedral in the background.
