Useful information

Description

Ingres, Poussin, Matisse, Goya, Botticelli, Turner, Van Dyck and many others are all represented at São Paulo's Museu de Arte (MASP), home to the largest collection of European art in South America. Make sure you also visit the Brazilian collections (including Candido Portinari, Emiliano Di Cavalcanti, Lasar Segall and Anita Malfati) as well as the sections devoted to African and Asian art. The building is worth visiting in its own right. Designed by Lina Bo Bardi and completed in 1968, the concrete, metal and glass structure seems to hang between two huge red porticoes.
