Useful information

Description

Reopened in late 2017 further to major refurbishments, this magnificent building (1993) enjoying a lovely view over sandy Porthmeor Beach was designed by Eldred Evans and David Shaley. The asymmetrically shaped art gallery rises in harmonious spirals with a conical space at the top: Clore Sky Studio. The museum presents work from the collection of London's Tate Modern devoted to the St Ives artists, British or international, including Barbara Hepworth, Piet Mondrian and Naum Gabo.
