Description

If you are coming to Saint Céré, be sure to visit the elegant Château de Montal. In a partly preserved site, the pale stone mass of the castle glows golden in the sunlight. A surprise lies in store behind the lofty, austere medieval walls and corner towers culminating in pepper box fortifications: on the south side, an attractive courtyard, decorated in the Renaissance style, celebrates Virtue and the lost son.
