Description

To find out more about agricultural rum, visit the Depaz Distillery. This sugar cane plantation has been masterfully taken over by Victor Depaz, whose entire family died during the volcanic eruption of 1902. The visit, free of charge and with 14 explanatory panels, is particularly interesting during the cane-cutting season, from February to June, when the machines are operated. Don't miss the reconstruction of the animal-powered mill, which now houses a very good restaurant.
