Useful information

Description

A presentation of the life and works of Shakespeare precedes a visit to this half-timbered house where the playwright lived from the age of two. The furnished property boasts beautiful painted walls as well as the shop-workshop of John Shakespeare. Note the graffiti on the windows of the bedroom upstairs (Walter Scott, Thomas and Henry Irving) which bears witness to the famous visitors here. An attractive garden completes the visit.
