Description
The structural unity of the palazzi and arcades that Amadeo di Castellamonte (1613-83) built along a 700m stretch of this street is quite exceptional. As you pass the University of Turin (n° 15), note the elegant courtyard of the Palazzo del Rettorato designed in 1712 by Michelangelo Garove, who worked with Amadeo di Castellamonte on the La Venaria royal palace. The street is lined with booksellers' stalls.
