Built in the 18th century, this residence is today the Museo de Arqueología Guamuhaya. Guamuhaya is the original name of the mountain range more commonly known as the "Sierra del Escambray". The museum is primarily devoted to the pre-Columbian period with displays of tools made from shells, as well as jewellery, human skeletons and a collection of ceramics.
