Description

The Gothic Santo Stefano church is depicted by a lovely brick facade. The sacristy contains works by Tintoretto (Washing of feet; Resurrection; Prayer in the olive garden; Last supper). Dominating the church, the leaning 16C bell tower, 60 metres high, is one of the most famous landmarks of Venice. Built out of brick with Istrian stone ornamentation, it is topped by a small octagonal bell tower.
